Tiff Conversion
This one might not be easy or possible with available code but:
A recent trend has some products using ridiculously large .tif images for textures. Over 100mb images really use up HD space fast. It would be nice to have an option in CDDS to convert those .tif images to .png when creating a DIM or using the Recompress tool. I've done a few products by hand but it's kind of a pain.
I realize that this might be fairly hard to accomplish but figured it was worth asking to see if it was feasible.
Regards and keep up the good work!

If it can't be done, or done easily, most 2D graphic software can do this in a batching mode. I use photoshop for just about everything, but the batch conversion in Paintshop is so easy to use, that's what I use when I need to convert a large number of image formats.

Conversion is not hard. It's digging them out of the zips and converting them that's a pain. Not to mention having to change all references in the .duf files.Akkaal wrote:If it can't be done, or done easily, most 2D graphic software can do this in a batching mode. Yes, possible to have CDDS do that. I'll look into it.
Re: Tiff Conversion
I have made test app will convert the .tif images to .png images and fix the .duf files.
After I do some more testing on the code I'll add the code to CDDS.
